Daniel L. Hnatio
Film and Video Production
Daniel L. Hnatio began his career in radio, television and interdisciplinary arts through an academic path. From there he opened up shop as a person providing technical services (engineering), lighting, and shooting and program directing. Over the past 15 years, he has produced and shot a wide variety of broadcast and industrial projects, continues to develop his field skills, and to provide services for a wide variety of clientele. He has worked for most of the fortune 500 companies as well as US broadcast agencies like ABC News, PBS, and CNN. He has also worked extensively for foreign television agencies.
Dan has a solid background in field production, lighting, and sound acquisition. Although his background is based in the arts, he is also an accomplished practitioner in field engineering and multi-camera acquisition.
As a producer/director/DP for broadcast and industrial projects, Dan has acquired and exercised substantial skills in the creation of programs that communicate effectively through quality field acquisition. He is experienced in working effectively with all levels of industry staff.
Dan has managed a video production group from 1982 through today. This activity has enabled him to profoundly widen his horizons with regard to all phases of the communications business, production issues, and leadership processes.
Dan currently teachs as an adjunct at Emerson College, Framingham State College International Education Programs, and has been an instructor at the Boston Film and Video Foundation. He teaches at the graduate and undergraduate level in the field of communications, and is currently pursuing an MFA in interdisciplinary arts.
