Kevin Glynn

Kevin is a native of Dorchester Massachusetts, and grew up fishing the waters around Cape Cod. By the time Kevin was a teenager, he was spending the majority of his summers living in Falmouth Massachusetts and working as a mate on locally based sportfishing charter boats. After earning a bachelor degree in Marine Affairs from the University of Rode Island in 1998, Kevin went on to achieve his 100 ton USCG captains license, and began helming Cape Cod based sportfishing vessels. It didn't take Kevin long to earn a reputation as a fish magnet. His nickname soon became the "Lucky Irishmen". His tournament success statistics are impressive to say the least. Kevin has placed in the top three in 11 major sportfishing events which he has fished during the passed 7 years as a captain. Kevin has won several of the events he has fished, including a leg of the Bahama Billfish Tournament and the Oak Bluffs Monster Shark Series. Kevin also ran one of the most successful and well known giant bluefin tuna boats in the northeast, "Talley 7", and spent four summer and fall seasons catching and selling bluefin tuna for a living. Actions always seem to speak louder than words for Kevin. The man catches fish. He has fished on and off with team Castafari for the passed 5 years. The Castafari earned it's first Northeast IGFA Grand Slam(blue marlin, white marlin, swordfish) with Kevin in the cockpit.
In 2003, Kevin began developing cutting edge fishing tackle for offshore applications, and now owns and operates the very successful Florida based tackle company, Offshore Innovations. Offshore Innovations has proven to be one of the most reputable and sought after dredge, spreader bar, and harpoon manufacturers in the country. Kevin's creativity and discipline are top notch, and have landed him a well respected role in the offshore tackle industry. His tricks are always welcome and employed in the cockpit of the Castafari! The lucky irishman will be jumping on board with us in the fall.
